Great Smoky Mountains National Park

This is a national park that has some significance to me. It was one of the first I was able to visit, but also I spent the start of a New Year here and it was the park that started all of the collections (Patches, Posters, Stickers, etc.). The park is so great and I have a couple of backpacking trips here that will be documented below. This was also some of the shake down trips for the PCT (Which you can read about on one of the other blog sections of this website). I find that the Smoky’s really helped me to refine my pack, gear, and grit. I would give it a visit, and even though the mountains are not as large as those out west in some of the other parks accessible to the public, the Great Smoky Mountains are still a must see feature of this great country. Please have fun reading about the park and the couple of trips I had the pleasure of taking here in the park.
